New to South Carolina?
If you move to South Carolina from another state, you have 45 days to register your vehicles and 90 days to obtain a South Carolina driver license. Depending on your home state license status, you may be required to take written or road tests. New state residents will also be required to pay property taxes on registered vehicles.
